Job Vacancies

Jewish Women’s Aid is the only charity in the UK working with Jewish women, and their children, affected by domestic violence. We run a refuge, client support service, counselling, children’s service, helpline and education, training and awareness raising programmes.

Contract: Initial one year contract with potential to extend

Part-time – hours flexible to suit the right candidate

Jewish Women’s Aid (JWA) is the only UK charity for Jewish women and children affected by domestic abuse. Established in the late 1980s, it is a growing charity with an annual budget of approximately £740k. It now operates a helpline, a community support service, a refuge and offers free counselling as well as education and awareness raising programmes.

JWA is funded through a mixture of statutory income, income from fundraising events and donations from private individuals, major donors and trusts. The charitable sector is becoming increasingly sophisticated and the organization needs compete with much larger and often better resourced organisations for donor support. JWA is therefore keen to move to the next level, expanding and diversifying our fundraising and ensuring the fundraising function is as professional as its service provision.

The Fundraiser will be expected to play a significant role in increasing income from major donors and trusts. The ideal individual will not only be passionate about the work of the charity, and committed to its values, but be forward thinking and ambitious in their own career. JWA is looking for an individual who aspires to be a senior fundraising professional.
