Jewish Women’s Aid is the only charity in the UK working with Jewish women, and their children, affected by domestic violence. We run a refuge, client support service, counselling, children’s service, helpline and education, training and awareness raising programmes.

We are currently recruiting an:


18 hours per week

£15,491 pa

Maternity cover 10 months

You’ll be responsible for devising, developing and delivering the programmes JWA uses in secondary schools to teach young Jewish people (Years 7-13) about healthy, safe relationships. You will also co-ordinate our team of educational volunteers, who deliver sessions, ensuring that they are fully trained and briefed.

Ideally, you will have a background in the teaching profession or in informal education. You will have experience in both planning sessions and presenting to groups of young people. You will need to be occasionally flexible with your working days, as schools schedule session dates in advance.


Applicants for this position will be enthusiastic, proactive and creative, and enjoy working independently in a structured way. Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and the Jewish community is also essential.
