Who we are

Naomi Dickson became Chief Executive of Jewish Women’s Aid in 2014. She has been involved in JWA for 17 years, first as a volunteer and then as a member of staff including a stint running the refuge. Her previous role was Communications & Training Coordinator.

JWA has a professional body comprising 18 members of staff, 17 in London and one based in Manchester.

JWA’s board of Trustees is co-Chaired by Liz Gould and Hilda Worth. They have been members of JWA’s Board for several years, and worked together very successfully co-chairing our annual fundraising lunch. JWA’s Hon. President is Judith Usiskin MBE, and our Hon. Vice-President is Mildred Levison.

There have recently been some changes to our board of Trustees, with the retirement from the Board of long-serving Trustees Janice Lopatkin and Tamara Zenios. We are deeply grateful to them for everything they have done over the years. We are delighted to be able to welcome our new Trustees: Madeleine Abramson and Miri Usiskin, pictured below. Click here to see their biographies and what made them apply to be JWA Trustees.

JWA would not be able to continue its vital work without our team of over 160 volunteers. For details of current volunteer vacancies, please click here.
