Freelance Children's Therapist (Manchester based)
Role Description
Objective: To deliver therapy to the children of women using JWA’s services in Manchester
Accountable to: the Therapeutic Services Manager
Working relationships: Schools, the Jewish community, external specialist providers, social services
Key responsibilities:
- To support mothers/carers (JWA’s service users) using JWA services in understanding the impact of abuse on their children
- To support in weekly, one-to-one sessions children of JWA clients
- Work with each child to be reviewed termly
- To work with children using a range of multi-cultural, physical, creative, imaginative and social play activities in a therapeutic setting
- To order, maintain and care for toys and equipment
Other tasks and responsibilities:
- To comply with and work within JWA policies and procedures
- To maintain clear, up-to-date written records and collect appropriate evaluation data in accordance with JWA policies and procedures
- To submit quarterly reports and statistics
- Work flexible hours as necessary
